What is All-On-4 Implant?
It is a technique applied in patients who cannot use prosthesis due to excessive bone loss. The patient can get and use temporary prostheses within a single day. Implants are placed at special angles to the sufficient bone in the frontal zone with appropriate upper structures. Depending on the availability of the jawbones, 4 or 6 implants are used. The patient’s permanent prostheses are made after 3–4 months.
How Is All-On-4 Implant Treatment Carried Out?
In All-on-4 treatment, measurements are taken from the patients before the treatment and temporary prostheses are prepared. Under local anaesthesia, if the patient has teeth to be extracted, these are removed and their implants are placed. Next, temporary prostheses are applied to the implants.
It allows patients to have implants and prostheses on the same day without the need for advanced surgical techniques. Patients come with their removable prostheses and go home with their fixed prostheses in the evening of the same day. It is very suitable for international patients.
The trouble of the operation is very low due to the lack of any pressure on the wound areas. Its cost is lower than classical dental implant surgery.
